Once we scored the game went a little flat

Everton Ladies boss Mo Marley was pleased with the 2-0 victoryover Bristol Academy on Sunday that keeps them in contention at thetop of the table. The last outing for the Blues was the FA Cup fourth roundvictory over Nottingham Forest two weeks ago.Marley was able to see the progression her side has made sincethe cup win. I thought it was a huge improvement on the Forestgame,  Mo told. They where very difficult to break down and they had lotsof numbers behind the ball. They had a lone striker up front so it became quitecongested in midfield.

Once we scored the game went a little flat,I dont think we pushed forward to score more goals and theywere quite content until half time. They changed it at half time by then putting two up frontwhich gave us more opportunities to get in behind. We had chancesand we should have converted those chances. The game could havebeen put to rest well within the hour and we hadnt takenthem. It was always going to be a sticky game, bearing in mindwe have only had one competitive fixture since December 11. But I was pleased with the way we performed overall. Wecan be more clinical and we can be tidier but hopefully we can getthat right next week in the FA Cup.

Mo believes everything will be in place for her side next weekas they do battle with Leeds in the FA Cup fifth round at GarforthTown FC. Everybody is always up for the FA Cup,  sheadded. There is no question about that. This is an allPremiership fixture so I am expecting probably one of the toughestgames of the season. I will be surprised if it is not. We need tobe at our best. We also need to keep raising the standards of ourperformances of the past few weeks. We will need to be top class next week if we are to get aresult out of it. But, saying that, I have got positive feelingsabout it and although it wasnt pleasant to watch, I am happywith what we have done today.
